Education:
University of Colorado at Boulder, Ph.D., 1991

Postdoctoral Training:
Laboratory of Neurophysiology, National Institute of Mental Health in Maryland

Laboratory of Integrative Neuroscience in Japan

Research Interests:
The focus of Dr. Chen's research is oculomotor and vestibular functions in both humans and animals. He applies neurophysiological, anatomical, chemical, and behavioral approaches in his investigations.

Teaching Interests:
Teaching interests include neurobiology, neuroanatomy, oculomotor physiology, biostatistics, and cognitive sciences.

Professional Activities:
Dr. Chen has published over twenty-three papers in top medical research journals and serves on an editorial board as a reviewer of research journals. He has received continuous research funding and grants since 2001. Dr. Chen is a member of several scientific research societies.
