Clinical Interests: Dr. Carron is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He specializes in pediatric otolaryngology.

Research Interests:
The focus of Dr. Carron's research is newborn hearing screening and postoperative therapies for tonsillectomy and tympanostomy tube placement.

Professional Activities:
Dr. Carron is active in many major specialty societies, such as the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, American Academy of Pediatrics - Section on Otolaryngology, American Cleft Palate - Craniofacial Association, Society of University Otolaryngologists and the Mississippi Society of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He was instrumental in establishing the first cochlear implant program at UMC and has successfully implanted over 40 children and adults since its inception.

Publications of Note:
Dr. Carron has over 20 peer reviewed articles and book chapters, and has presented at several national meetings such as the American Society for Pediatric Otolaryngology and the Society for Ear, Nose, and Throat Advances in Children.
